Italian Wine evening @ Hermitage, 30 July 2008

Alumni and Friends of the LSE huddled in The Burrow of Hermitage for an exclusive Italian wine-appreciation evening.

There is so much to learn about Italy's rich diversity of wines, and the informal 'walk-around' tasting was devised to introduce, and acquaint guests with Italy's multifarious regions and indigenous grape varieties that help make this nation's wines so different from others.

Estates will include Geografico, Capannelle from Tuscany, Borgogno and Boroli from Barolo, Inama from Soave.

Italian cheeses, cured sausages and other finger food complimented the wines which included:

1) Borgogno Barolo 1978
2) Boroli Chardonnay 2006
3) Capannelle Chianti Classico 2003
4) Geografico Ferraiolo 2003
5) VADIAPERTI CODA VOLPI 2005
6) GOTTARDI BLAUBURG'20 2004
7) COSNERO AVOLA POJO 2003
8) Inama Soave 2003
