SRT - Macbeth, 14 May 2011

Singapore Repertory Theatre, Shakespeare in the Park - Macbeth.

One of William Shakespeare’s most intriguing masterpieces of all time, Macbeth never fails to draw crowds, especially so with a modern twist - in the park, under the stars.

On the evening of 14th May, a total of 45 Alumni, DUAL members, families and friends turned-up at Fort Canning Park for a night of Shakespeare under the stars.

An oversubscribed event with an overwhelmingly high turnout, our members were in for a night of treats - be it the political intrigue, exciting battle scenes, to relish luscious language from the play or the al-fresco food and wine that hardworking LSEAAS members had carefully prepared.

As themes of betrayal, murder and guilt unfolded before our eyes, our members got to know each other better over copious amounts of wine and sparkling conversations - continuing long after the play ended!

Friendships strengthened and new bonds were formed, with the last group of members staying behind till as late as 3am before adjourning to Arab Street! An outstanding evening for all indeed.
